BIMI checker.

Check the BIMI record, the required DMARC enforcement, the SVG logo and the certificate.

BIMI only shows a logo once DMARC is enforced. We check that too. Selector defaults to default.

Planning BIMI? Check the setup before buying a certificate.

You can validate your BIMI record, DMARC enforcement and SVG logo before buying a certificate. Some mailbox providers require a Verified Mark Certificate (VMC) or Common Mark Cerificate (CMC) before they display your logo. If your BIMI record, DMARC enforcement and logo are correct but the logo still does not appear, the certificate is often the missing piece.

How to read your results

DMARC comes first. BIMI does nothing until your DMARC policy is at p=quarantine or p=reject. We check that requirement before anything else, because a logo with DMARC at none will not show.

The logo. It must be an SVG Tiny PS file served over HTTPS. We validate it against that profile and flag what a strict receiver would reject.

The certificate. Some mailbox providers require a BIMI certificate before they display the logo. This can be a Verified Mark Certificate (VMC) or a Common Mark Certificate (CMC), depending on the provider and the level of verification you need.

Frequently asked questions

What is BIMI?
BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) shows your verified logo next to your emails in supporting inboxes. It needs DMARC at enforcement plus a BIMI DNS record pointing to an SVG logo.
What do I need for BIMI to work?
You need DMARC at p=quarantine or p=reject, a BIMI record at default._bimi.yourdomain.com, and an SVG Tiny PS logo served over HTTPS. Some providers also require a BIMI certificate, such as a VMC or CMC, before they display the logo.
Do I need a certificate for BIMI?
Some providers require a BIMI certificate before they display the logo. A VMC gives the strongest verification and usually requires a registered trademark. A CMC can be an option for brands without a registered trademark. A few providers may show BIMI logos without a certificate.
How do I check my BIMI record?
Enter your domain. dmarcula checks the BIMI record, confirms the DMARC enforcement it needs, validates the SVG logo against the Tiny PS profile, and checks for a BIMI certificate.

This check is a snapshot. dmarcula watches your domain around the clock, reads the DMARC reports for you, and emails you when something changes. Free, no credit card.
